Scott’s strong home debut spoiled by lackluster offense

Christian Scott put forth a strong performance in his Citi Field debut, but the Mets once again could not give him any run support and were no-hit two-hit by the Braves, falling to Atlanta 4-1.

Scott started off his day strong with a 1-2-3 first inning with two strikeouts. He would go on to strike out eight Braves hitters in his 6+ innings of work, including Matt Olson three times. However, the one flaw in Scott’s game is that he has been homer prone and the Braves are a lineup that is prone to hitting homers.
